Summer Soccer League
If you like to run, play sports and have fun with other kids your own age, then the Northwood Soccer Club Recreation League is for you! You don’t have to be a super star—everyone plays.
The Recreation League is for boys and girls, ages 4-13. This season, age brackets with be determined by your player’s current grade. U6 will be players born prior to 06/01/2020 and not yet in Kindergarten. Anyone who will be entering the 8th grade for the upcoming 2024 school year start will still be eligible for the U14 division. The season runs from June 18th thru August 5th. Practices and games are at the Nappanee Soccer Complex at Wellfield Park (see facilities tab). The cost is $40 per player. We have recently moved to paperless registration, so please register online below.
Shin Guards, covered by soccer socks, are required for all soccer players. Soccer cleats or tennis shoes are required for play. No baseball cleats (have cleat at the toe) will be allowed.

U6
This is for children ages 4- 5. This age division is for introducing the game of soccer to our younger players. The format is designed to develop individual, technical skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting, in a fun and relaxed environment.

U8
Children ages 6-7 will participate in the U8 division. Players will have the opportunity to practice and play soccer games as a team. Score is not kept in the U8 division. All children will have the opportunity to play in all the games as well as play the different positions. Emphasis will be on individual player development of basic soccer skills.

U10
Children ages 8-9 will participate in the U10 division. Players will have the opportunity to practice and play soccer games as a team. All children will have the opportunity to play in all the games as well as play the different positions. Emphasis will be on individual player development of soccer skills and an introduction to team tactical.

U12
Children ages 10-11 will participate in the U12 division. Players will have the opportunity to practice and play soccer games as a team. Score is kept in the U12 division. Teams play in a single elimination tournament at the end of the season to determine League Champion. All children will have the opportunity to play in all the games as well as play the different positions. Emphasis will be on individual player development of soccer skills and team tactical skills.

U14
Children ages 12-13 (including 14 year old children that are not current 8th graders) will participate in the U14 division. Players will have the opportunity to practice and play soccer games as a team. Score is kept in the U14 division. All children will have the opportunity to play in all the games. Emphasis will be on individual player development of soccer skills and team tactical skills.
