About NorthWood Soccer Club
The NWSC is a continuation of a long standing community soccer league started by the Early Bird Kiwanis Club of Nappanee, in the 1970’s. The Early Bird Kiwanis Club disbanded in 1996 and the NWSC was established to keep soccer a vital part of the community. NWSC is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
The NWSC recreational program runs from July through August. 300-400 kids, from Kindergarten through 7th grade, participate each summmer. We have a beginners clinic for our Pre-K and Kindergarten age kids, a U8 division for our 1st and 2nd Grade, a U10 division for our 3rd-4th Grade, U12 division for our 5th-6th Grade, and new U14 division for 6th-7th-and upcoming 8th grade children. Coaches and Referees are all volunteers.
The NWSC travel program consists of U10 through U14 teams. We currently have 60-80 players in our travel program. We play in the Indiana Soccer League (ISL). There are two seasons during the year (fall and spring). Coaches are all volunteers.
